Morris Wallace

August 21, 1956 ~ January 5, 2022 (age 65)

Morris Ray “Skeet: Wallace was born on August 21, 1956, to the beautiful union of Radie and Mamie Fite Wallace. Radie and Mamie decided to make Dallas their home. Skeet attended the DISD school district where he obtained his education... He welcomed his elder sons Morris, Eric, Frederick and Darrell Lucky and Ms. Alice Lucky. Later welcoming his daughters Latesha (Tesie) and Mesha Wallace with his ex-wife and life long friend Mrs. Rita Mason.

Sleet was known for his quick wit and strong nature. Everyone he met fell in love with his humor and took a beating from his jokes a time or two. Always tough but loving he helped in raising his younger siblings after the passing of his parents. A known lover of music, it was not rare to catch him playing an air guitar or catching a drum solo to one of his favorite songs. In his youth Skeet loved to spend time with his friends and family; oftentimes this involved talking noise around the dominoes table. In his later years Skeet spent his time much like he did in his youth, with his family and friends. While living with his eldest daughter Tesie, he was a hands-on grandfather; instilling many life lessons, values and fun memories into “his girls”.

Throughout whatever trials he faced he never lost his sense of humor, spunk or energy. Without uttering the word his love was reflected in his verbal sparrings with Tesie, biweekly haircuts with Mesha, and nonstop shenanigans with the grandkids. Never wanting to stray far from home he would often visit family and friends on Canal; especially since he wasn’t going to miss a lot of hot meals and good conversation.

Skeet is preceded in death by his loving parents, two sisters Bertha Reeves and Pamela Fite; and three brothers; Johnny Frank Wallace, Bennie Wayne Wallace and Glen Edward Wallace. Skeet leaves to cherish his precious memories daughters: Latesha and Mesha Wallace, sons Eric, Fredrick and Darrell Lucky; three sisters: Deborah Hurndon (Edward), Patty Wallace, Judith Fears (Henry); three brothers: Wendell Wallace, Andre Wallace, Fredrick Wallace (Lanel); fourteen grandchildren: Delandria, Keaira, Mylah, Sanai, Taylor, Sade, Damarcus, Fredaysha, Fredricka Fredeatria, Broderinique, Fredrick Jr., Frederinique, Fredernae; six great grand children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, honorary grandchildren, extended family.
