James Gholston
July 13, 1961 – November 6, 2021 – (Age 60)

A native of Cleveland, OH and resident of Dallas, TX transitioned on November 6, 2021 in Dallas, TX.

James Gholston, dearly loved son, brother and friend. “Jaime,” as he was known by his many family and friends, was born on July 13, 1961 in Cleveland, OH.

Employed as an engineer for the Arabian American Oil Company (Aaramco), James’ dad, the late Carl Gholston, moved the family to Saudi Arabia where James attended grade school in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He then attended high school at the Cushing Academy Preparatory School, in Ashburnham, MA. James’ education culminated in a degree from The University of Arizona.

After college, James moved to Dallas, TX and began his career in modeling and talent. He worked as a talent scout for the John Roberts Powers Modeling School, Page Parkes Agency and the International Modeling & Talent Association (IMTA), where he discovered and mentored countless models and actors in the early stages of their careers.

James leaves behind his mom, Josephine Gholston Curry; brothers Earnee and Karlton Gholston; aunts Juanita “Nita” Turner, Jerri Bigam and Estell Lewis; uncles Lonza Bigam and John Lewis; sister-in-law Nicole Tetreault; nieces Whitney, Brooklyn, Emma Gholston and Aerion Jo McIntyre; and a host of additional family and friends. In addition to his biological family, James leaves behind “his chosen family,” a cache of very close beloved friends that James held tightly to his heart throughout the years. James is missed more than one can imagine, and will always be remembered for his infectious laugh, amazing sense of humor, wonderful themed parties, genuine warmth and philanthropic heart. The countless lives he touched will forever feel bereaved in his absence.

In order to give family and friends (traveling domestically and internationally) the opportunity to pay their respect to our beloved “Jaime,” a Celebration of Life Memorial will be announced in a timely manner.
