Gwendolyn Alexander life’s journey began 12/06/1953 in Dallas, TX., to Jennie V. and Algie Lee Alexander. Gwen accepted Christ early on in life. She was a proud graduate of Lincoln High School, class of 1971. After graduating, Gwen accomplished several certifications and degrees and took of many jobs until she found her passion. Gwen saw that she had desire to help those with special needs, so she went to work as a Bus Monitor with Dallas County Transportation, formerly DISD School Bus Service. Gwen stayed there for approximately 18 years, until her health no longer permitted. Gwen was a faithful, dedicated, and devoted member of Abundant Life A. M.E. Church, where she served as Stewardess for many, many, many years.
As Gwendolyn crosses over the threshold into the Gates of Heaven, she is greeted by her family of Angels that preceded her in her journey: Parents, Jennie V. and Algie Lee Alexander; Siblings, Al Jr. and Pamela Alexander; and a host of family and friends that were awaiting her arrival.
On April 21, 2020 at approximately 3:00A.M., God sent His Chariot of Angels to release Gwen from all the pain, suffering, and daily worries that had been apart of her Life’s Journey.
As Gwen mounted her wings, she entrusts her memories to her: Four sons, Cedric (Keisha), Terry, Adrian, and Marcus Alexander, all of Dallas, TX. Two Sisters, Jeanette and Cheryl Alexander. Seven brothers; Gary, Joe, Robert (Sonya), Kenneth, Victor, Rodney and Andre (Cynthia) Alexander, all of Dallas. Twenty-nine grandchildren. Twenty-two great grandchildren. And a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends to keep her memories alive.
