Frank Louis Jefferson was one of thirteen (13) children born to matriarch Daisy Bell Jefferson and Porter James Jefferson on May 9, 1944 in Pickens, Mississippi. The Jefferson family lived on Metropolitan Avenue where Frank attended Dallas County Public School. He held various jobs to include working at The Kroger Company as a butcher for 14 years and retired from the City of Dallas as a heavy equipment operator after 17 years.
Frank was a native son of Bethlehem Baptist Church where he worshipped with his family and community. In 2007 Frank rededicated his life to Christ at New Hope Baptist Church where he served until he transitioned. Frank’s love for “tricking out” and fixing loud and fast vehicles made him the family and neighborhood mechanic. If it was loud and fast, Frank was driving it! You could always find him in grease-filled jeans, a T-shirt, and steel-toed boots with tools in-hand fixing a car, truck or motorcycle. All you had to do was describe the problem to him and he could tell you just what needed to be done to get your vehicle back up and running again. He loved helping people!
Frank is preceded in death by his loving mother (Daisy Bell Jefferson), father (Porter James Jefferson), sister (Jennie “Virginia” Gray), brother (Warren Jefferson), brother (Melvin Jefferson), brother (Walter Jefferson), brother (Anthony Jefferson) and brother Donald Sneed Jefferson; daughters (Francine Jefferson) and (Paula Jackson) of Dallas, TX.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Louie Dean Justice (Carla) of Los Angeles, CA and Danny Lanod Jefferson (Elena) of Tacoma, WA; daughters Monica Kane (Charles) of Lorton, VA, Chalena Crawford of Palestine, TX, Candace Sandles (Thomas), Nikki Taylor, and Karen Mooring and Holly Jefferson of Dallas, TX; brother Porter Jefferson (Patricia) of Fort Washington, MD, sister Daisy A. Oliver of Garland, TX, brother Larry Jefferson (Rosetta) of Lancaster, TX, sister Barbara Thompson (Ross) of Lancaster, TX, sister Janet Levels of Dallas, TX, sister Carolyn Loud of Lancaster, TX, and brother Charlie Jefferson Jr. (Melanee) of Lewisville, TX; fourteen grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and close friends. Although he is not here in body, his generous heart, love of family will be forever etched in our memories until we meet again.
