Obituary

On February 21, 1969, a bouncing baby girl was born to Mary Lee Toliver Lucas and Charles Edward Lucas in Dallas, Texas. Aretha was the second oldest child of this union.

Aretha grew up in Kilgore Texas and later moved to Dallas where she received her former education from James Madison High School. She was known for her outstanding culinary skills, and she found pleasure when her friends and family enjoyed eating her food.

On June 28, 2020, she married her loving husband and best friend Ira DeLawrence Williams. They found great comfort in spending quality time with each other on a daily basis.

Aretha cherished spending time with family enjoying cookouts, fellowshipping, and reminiscing about her earlier years.
Her parents proceeded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted husband, Ira Williams; her only child, Ray Anthony Lucas Sr.; her grandson, Ray Anthony Lucas Jr.; (Both of San Antonio, TX); Her Siblings, Juliet Lucas, Samuel E. Lucas, Jonathan D. Lucas, and Glenda V. Lucas (all of Dallas, TX); Four bonus children: Deontee Burns (Briana), LaPorsha Burns, Zarkayvia Davis and Tira Davis (all of Dallas, TX); One aunt, Dorethea Lucas (Dallas, TX); nieces and nephews, Avanti L. Lucas; Skye Jones, Steven Motton Jr, and Samuel Jr, (Dallas, TX); Ten bonus grandkids, and a host of other relatives and friends.
